Spring Fall cleaning doesn’t just apply to house-cleaning, it applies to beauty regimes too. New York is slowly embracing the teasings of ambiguous Fall winds and showers, and while you’re ready to go out in your sweater weather outfit, your skin may not be as prepared. The remnants of flaky, sweaty, irritated, under-nourished, and fatigued skin may still be visible from your physical and emotional battle with the blazing summer. “Treat yo self” and invest in a face mask that provides the necessary tools to rehabilitate and revitalize your skin’s condition to its best possible state.
The first part of the duo, the “Mega Greens Galaxy Pack” aims to detoxify your skin-with ingredients such as leafy greens, super fruits, and base white clay-by excavating all of your impurities that have been sitting on your pores (without drying the face out). While this happens, the mask simultaneously brings in vitamins and nutrients into the pores. Leave this on for 20 minutes to prep your face for the second phase.
Second phase starts with the “Moisturizing Moon Mask,” which is suitable when you feel like your skin has been dull lately. Moisturizing and brightening, with essence of lemon and licorice extract, the mask brings your skin back to life (leave it on for 20 minutes as well).
The Mega Green Galaxy Pack is a good mask to use if you’re just looking for a gentle but an effective detoxifying mask. However, if you’re looking for something more, such as to calm breakouts, I’d recommend looking for other clay-based masks. This Glossier green mask certainly doesn’t dry out the skin like other masks, especially when my skin’s being annoyingly sensitive, the mask sort of neutralizes my skin’s sensitivity.
On the other hand , I think the moisturizing mask is a gem. When my skin feel extremely tired, dehydrated, flakey (from chemical peels), and just lackluster, 20 minutes of this moisturizing moon mask helps alot. Follow up with toner, serum and a moisturizer, my skin feels extremely rejuvenated and clean.
